近三十年賽局理論已成為一門不可或缺的研究領域。其方法論非常廣泛地應用在許多學科上，包括經濟學、政治學、生物學、哲學、法律、社會心理學、商學、國際關係以及資訊科學等。當決策者追求某一外生目標時，他知道他的行動會影響其他決策者的行為若其他決策者也同時如此考慮時，賽局理論能幫助我們找出參賽者的策略抉擇。鑑於賽局理論已是經濟學系大學生重要的分析工具，這門課程的目標不但要讓學生充分了解理論本身，更著重應用此理論於無數的現代經濟學模型及其他學科上的模型。

In the past 30 years, the theory of competition has become an indispensable research field. Its methodology is widely used in many subjects, including economy, politics, biology, philosophy, law, social psychology, business, international relations, and information science. When a decision-maker pursues an exogenous goal, he knows that his actions will affect the behavior of other decision-makers. If other decision-makers also consider this way, the game theory can help us find out the strategic decisions of participants. Given that the theory of the competition has become an important analytical tool for economic college students, the goal of this course is not only to enable students to fully understand the theory itself, but also to apply this theory to countless modern economic models and other subjects.
