自由競爭的市場秩序一般被認為最能保障消費者利益，公平交易法即是我國法上為維護自由競爭市場秩序所定之法律規範。向來多受到美國法的影響，以「反托拉斯法（Antitrust Law）」稱呼之，但隨著歐盟競爭法的發展日益進步，目前世界上多以「競爭法（Competition Law）」之概念稱呼此種法律規範。在本課程中，將會帶領同學一同認識我國公平交易法之概念，並就公平交易法所禁止之限制競爭與不公平競爭之行為進行說明。希望同學能藉由公平法交易法的學習，掌握競爭法的基本原理原則。
因第一週將針對課程內容、課程要求、評分標準，以及公平交易法之整體架構進行簡要說明，並且進行期末報告之分組，請同學務必出席【重要！！】以掌握本課程之目標之內涵。第一週課程未出席者視為退選課程，將強制退選。另外，也不提供未出席第一週課程之同學加簽或加選。The market order of free competition is generally considered to best protect the interests of consumers. 公平交易法係經濟基本法，自民國81 年2 月4 日施行以來，迄今已逾15 年，全部條文共計49 條，藉此規範經濟活動中各式各樣的交易行為，為國內市場建立公平合理的競爭規範，以達成維護交易秩序與消費者利益，確保公平競爭，促進經濟之安定與繁榮之立法宗旨。本課程授課內容主要是按照公平交易法條文體系依序論述，分為「總則」、「限制競爭」、「不公平競爭行為」、「公平交易委員會」、「法律責任」等篇，並彙集本會實際作成之案例，依其行為態樣編排於各篇之中。因此特過本課程之介紹，有助於學生了解法律規範內容及具體實務運作，對於初次接觸公平交易法者，應有所助益。
The Fair Trade Act is the Basic Economic Law. It has been in effect for more than 15 years since February 4, 1981, and has a total of 49 articles. It regulates various transactions in economic activities and establishes a fair and reasonable basis for the domestic market.
