On completion of the course, students should be able to
a) demonstrate orally and in written form their linguistic and cultural knowledge of the idiomatic and colloquial expressions acquired by using them appropriately in predefined contexts;
b) demonstrate orally and in written form their memorization and control of the idiomatic and colloquial expressions by using them deliberately and appropriately in extended discourses;
c) show their communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities and skills by using the idiomatic and colloquial expressions spontaneously and appropriately in prepared and impromptu pair or group interactions at normal speech rate in extended discourses; and
d) show their ability to sustain and enhance their interest and motivation in learning English by taking the initiative to acquire and use more idiomatic and colloquial expressions on their own.
