學生利用寒暑假時間到教師研究室從事專題研究,學習實驗技術、資料數據處理彙整及實驗成果撰寫。Students use their winter and summer vacations to engage in special research in the teacher's laboratory, learning experimental techniques, data processing and collection, and writing of experimental results.
提供全系老師們的研究方向或研究題目,同學們依據自己的興趣與相關專題研究的指導老師洽談,並進入指導老師的研究室從事專題研究,透過老師的指導進行主題研究及論文之繕寫,除於期末進行口試,並鼓勵參加食品相關協會所舉辦的年會論文發表.
Provide research directions or research topics for all teachers in the department. Students can negotiate with the instructors of relevant special research based on their own interests, and enter the instructor's laboratory to engage in special research. Through the teacher's guidance, they can conduct topic research and write papers. In addition to the oral examination at the end of the semester, students are also encouraged to participate in annual conferences organized by food-related associations and publish papers.

Reference books, journals and other materials vary depending on the research field, and are prescribed by each supervisor.
