在常見的物理問題當中我們經常要面臨常微分方程,偏微分方程,聯立方程式求解。在本系的應用數學課程中,教導學生使用解析的方法來得到微分方程的精確解,本課程則提供另一種求解的方法,主要在教導如何使用數值方法來處理物理問題。並且利用計算機的強大計算能力,我們還可以計算實際上更複雜且沒有解析解的物理問題。此外在處理隨機問題和多體問題時,我們又會經常使用蒙地卡羅計算方法,我們在這個課程當中也會學習蒙地卡羅模擬與應用。同學們在學習的過程當中除了學習數值方法之外,也可以利用這個課程精進他們的程式設計能力。Among common physics problems, we often have to solve ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, and simultaneous equations. In the applied mathematics courses of this department, students are taught to use analytical methods to obtain accurate solutions to differential equations. This course provides another solution method, mainly teaching how to use numerical methods to deal with physical problems. And using the powerful computing power of computers, we can also calculate physical problems that are actually more complex and have no analytical solutions. In addition, when dealing with stochastic problems and multi-body problems, we often use Monte Carlo calculation methods. We will also learn Monte Carlo simulation and applications in this course. In addition to learning numerical methods during the learning process, students can also use this course to improve their programming skills.
