本課程介紹古羅馬的歷史，自西元前八世紀到西元五世紀，從泰伯河畔的小鎮發，展成領土橫跨英國、歐洲大陸、西亞、北非的帝國。古羅馬在軍事、政治、社會組織尤其成功。古羅馬包容不同的種族與人群，可謂最偉大的帝國之一。課程包括早期義大利、羅馬的誕生、共和時期、屋大維時期、到羅馬後期帝國，並包括主題討論，如: 宗教、法律、軍隊、經濟、以及基督教早期歷史。課程將呈現古羅馬的歷史是如何建構，同時也將介紹研究所需具備的基本能力。This course introduces the history of ancient Romans, from the 8th Century BC to the 5th Century, developed from the town on the banks of the Taber River, and developed into an empire that transcends the British, European Mainland, Western Asia and North Africa. Guroma was particularly successful in military, political and social organizations. The ancient Romans tolerate different races and people, and is one of the largest empires. The course includes early Italy, Roman birth, republican period, Oct.a., to late Roman empire, and includes topic discussions such as: religion, law, military, economy, and early Christian history. The course will present how the history of ancient Romans is constructed, and will also introduce the basic abilities required for research.
