課程內容，包含改編成影視的中國古典文學的小說戲曲，以及現代文學的散文﹑小說與劇本，還有電影的腳本。前者例如明代小說《三言》《兩拍》改編為電視影集，及數度拍成電影電視的清朝蒲松齡《聊齋誌異》（電視影集《聊齋》，電影如《俠女》《倩女幽魂》《小翠》《畫皮》等），後者像劉梓潔的散文＜父後七日＞（王育麟﹑劉梓潔導演），小說有蘇童＜妻妾成群＞（張藝謀導演），馬識途＜盜官記＞（姜文導演），或張愛玲＜紅玫瑰與白玫瑰＞（關錦鵬導演）＜色；戒＞（李安導演），而金庸武俠小說，則有多部長篇改編為電影電視，此外王度廬武俠小說，改編成李安名作《臥虎藏龍》。電影劇本如吳念真﹑朱天文合著《悲情城市》（侯孝賢導演）等，均有可觀之處，可作教材之用。The course content includes novels and operas from Chinese classical literature adapted into film and television, as well as prose, novels and scripts from modern literature, as well as movie scripts.
