課程內容，包含改編成影視的中國古典文學的小說戲曲，以及現代文學的散文﹑小說與劇本，還有電影的腳本。前者例如明代小說《三言》《兩拍》改編為電視影集，及數度拍成電影電視的清朝蒲松齡《聊齋誌異》（電視影集《聊齋》，電影如《俠女》《倩女幽魂》《小翠》《畫皮》等），後者像劉梓潔的散文＜父後七日＞（王育麟﹑劉梓潔導演），小說有蘇童＜妻妾成群＞（張藝謀導演），馬識途＜盜官記＞（姜文導演），或張愛玲＜紅玫瑰與白玫瑰＞（關錦鵬導演）＜色；戒＞（李安導演），而金庸武俠小說，則有多部長篇改編為電影電視，此外王度廬武俠小說，改編成李安名作《臥虎藏龍》。電影劇本如吳念真﹑朱天文合著《悲情城市》（侯孝賢導演）等，均有可觀之處，可作教材之用。The course content includes novels adapted from Chinese classical literature, as well as prose, novels and scripts from modern literature, as well as movie scripts.
