以音樂表現為主體的劇場演出可回溯至所有人類文明的初期，事實上西方表演藝術將音樂、戲劇、舞蹈分庭發展，也是法國古典主義之後方才明定的，透過這門課將讓學生了解所有以音樂為表現主體的劇場形式，舉凡歌劇、音樂劇、當代音樂劇場，探究其理論基礎與發展背景，旁觸劇場音樂設計的美學概念。此外，更透過實際創作演練，了解音樂劇場實務現實，拓展學生對跨類與前衛劇場美學之認知延伸。

The performances with music expression as the main body can be traced back to the early days of all human civilizations. In fact, Western performance art developed music, dramas and dance chambers, which was also decided after French classicalism. Through this course, students will understand all the plays with music as the main body, and use songs, music dramas, and contemporary music dramas to explore the theoretical basis and development background, and touch the aesthetic concepts of music design on the stage. In addition, through practical creative performance, we can understand the reality of music drama scenes and expand students' understanding of cross-category and forward-sports aesthetics.

透過這門課讓學生了解各類以音樂為表現主體的劇場形式，探究其理論基礎與發展背景，此外，更透過實際參訪業內進行中的相關製作，了解音樂劇實務現況，拓展學生對音樂劇、歌劇、劇場音樂之延伸認知。

Through this course, students can understand various theatre forms that express the subject with music, explore their theoretical basis and development background.
