Experimental Design Studio

教育目標 Course Target

The studio emphasis on combined individual and team efforts for introducing advanced design methods in multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary scenarios that enable students to carry out artifactual, architecture, urban, regions, cross borders, global or extraterrestrial or generic problem(s) solving. Main objective is to stay connected to all living inhabitants’ needs and providing design innovation relevant to the dynamics of changing globe for design profession. Students are expected to propose game-changing and feasible schemes as references for future design that create transient conditions conducive to life (on Earth and future design that supports for interplanetary conditions).
Specific learning objectives for this module will aligned to lead instructor of the module of the year. In this case, for 2020, the Regenerative Earth and Anthropocene Design Lab (READ) will be assigned as the lead design research lab for learning operation and culture. Learnings will include:
Create a nature-inspired innovation (a product/artefact/installation, an architecture or groups of architecture, urban and spatial service, or design system in any scale) that combats significant problem(s) in order to safeguard Future Earth by learning to prepare for Futurism Design.
