介紹木管樂器的樂器特色，沿革歷史，以及在西洋音樂史上各時期所擔任的角色。針對各時期獨奏與室內樂等曲目的研討，希望透過本課程讓同學們對木管樂器的有進一步的認識，更對於自己的主修樂器有更深刻的了解，使同學能在欣賞或研究方面都有更多的樂趣，增強自己的專業素養，並應用到演奏上。
上學期將探討音樂史上從文藝復興、巴洛克到古典的時期的木管樂器發展與木管樂作品；下學期則探討從浪漫時期到現代的管樂器發展與管樂作品，特別著重二十世紀以後的作品，包括曲目與新技巧探討。Introduce the characteristics, history, and roles of woodwind instruments in various periods in the history of Western music. Focusing on the discussion of solo and chamber music repertoire in various periods, we hope that through this course, students will have a better understanding of woodwind instruments and a deeper understanding of their major instruments, so that students can both appreciate and study them. Have more fun, enhance your professionalism, and apply it to your playing.
The first semester will explore the development of woodwind instruments and woodwind works in the history of music from the Renaissance, Baroque to Classical periods; the next semester will explore the development of wind instruments and wind instruments from the Romantic period to modern times, with a special emphasis on works after the 20th century. Includes exploration of repertoire and new techniques.
