不平等的議題是社會學創始以來所關懷的主要議題之一。原本由區域的社會不平等的議題，隨著全球化的影響，不平等的議題擴張到全球的尺矩。當全球不平等的趨勢如何展開，作為世界的一員，我們該如何來理解這個趨勢？在全球化的當今，財富極端集中，各國思考如何重新分配，把富人的錢分給窮人，然而資金流動日益快速，挑戰國家的行政權力。全球化與不平等的關係是最近學界非常熱門的議題，以嚴格定義來探討近年來的全球化，大約從二戰後開始，它所帶動的經濟活動所產生的各種形式的不平等，包含最近新冠病毒的疫情所衍生的健康不平等，都是各界在評估「全球化」的意義與影響的重要指標。本課程希望透過閱讀相關的出版來了解全球化的運作如何影響改變個人的生存機會，以進一步了解全球化如何形塑社會階層化的過程。

The question of inequality is one of the main topics that have been concerned about since the beginning of society. Originally, the issue of social inequality in the region was extended to the global rule by the influence of globalization. How do we understand this trend as global inequality develop? In the current globalization, wealth is extremely concentrated, and countries are thinking about how to redistribute the wealthy and divide the wealthy's money to the people. However, the flow of funds is becoming increasingly rapid, challenging the administrative power of the country. The relationship between globalization and inequality is a very popular topic in the academic community recently. It has carefully defined the globalization in recent years. Starting from the aftermath of the Second World War, the various forms of inequality generated by the economic activities it has driven, including the health inequality derived from the recent COVID-19 epidemic, are important indicators for all sectors to evaluate the meaning and impact of "globalization". This course hopes to understand how the actions of globalization affect changing individuals’ survival opportunities through reading related publications, so as to further understand how globalization shapes the process of socialization.
