As a result of this course, students will:
(1)Have a perception of the basic issues involved with providing fault-tolerance in both computer system and networks. The teaching materials are composed of Reliability Review, Mathematical Modeling, Standby System Design, and Markov Reliability Model and Case study, and Maintainability Issues, etc.
(2)Have an in-depth understanding of techniques for constructing fault-tolerant computer network systems, especially group communication systems and replication paradigms above them.
(3)Gain practice and competence in reading, analyzing research and technical papers.
