實證醫學的推動與實踐是世界潮流的脈動，我們國家的醫學教育已將此列為訓練核心，由於病人的主要照護決策權是由臨床醫師與病人共同決定，所以醫療實務上，運用醫病共享決策(Shared Decision Making)是一重要趨勢。醫病共享決策是合作的過程，讓病人與醫療提供者共同做出醫療決定，這個決定是運用實證醫學上的證據。由於醫療決策不再是單由醫師決定，而是擴及所有相關領域，可見實證醫學對於醫務管理亦是重要一環。本課程內容以教師所提供的上課講義為主，搭配建議參考的書籍，期學生可以獨立獲取實證醫學證據，並書面與口頭成果報告。The promotion and practice of medicine are the trend of the world.
