Currently, biodiversity has received much attention and the number of relevant studies is increasing rapidly. However, the analytical methods of biodiversity data differ from traditional statistical methodologies. Different conceptual frameworks and analytical methodologies are needed to analyze biodiversity data. The goals of this course is to help students realize the nature of biodiversity data, strategies of processing and transforming data, univariate and multivariate analysis methods, and ways of investigating relationship between biodiversity and environmental factors. Hopefully, this course can help promote the depth and scope of biodiversity studies.
