On completion of the course, students should be able to 1). watch and understand English animated films without Chinese subtitles; 2). discuss films confidently and comfortably with others in English; and 3). analyze animated films in various aspects and from various perspectives.

This course is designed to enhance students English listening and speaking abilities through watching and discussing English animated films with English subtitles. Every week, an animated film on DVD (public-viewing edition) will be shown, followed by group discussions and the instructors analysis on the film. In addition, each student is required to make two 5-minute oral presentations on two English animated films.
