亞里士多德的《詩學》(Poetics)是西方第一部有關劇作與文學理論的哲學論述,本課程引導學生透過該原典中英譯文的閱讀,了解亞里士多德有關詩的藝術(含音樂的韻律、合聲、節奏、曲調),詩的種類與不同特性,構成好詩的主題結構,組成詩的部分的數量與性質,以及其他相關議題的哲學分析。Aristotle's "Poetics" is the first Western philosophical exposition on drama and literary theory. This course guides students to understand Aristotle's art of poetry through reading the Chinese and English translation of the original text. (including rhythm, chorus, rhythm, and melody of music), the types and different characteristics of poetry, the thematic structure that constitutes a good poem, the number and nature of the parts that make up a poem, and philosophical analysis of other related issues.
