本課程主要以台灣歷史演進為經緯，探討各個歷史階段之文化特色，使學生能對台灣歷史文化有一宏觀且系統性的認識，進而思考傳統與現代社會間的傳承與變遷，欣賞台灣多元文化與社會的價值。This course mainly takes the historical evolution of Taiwan as the latitude and longitude, and explores the cultural characteristics of each historical stage, so that students can have a macro and systematic understanding of Taiwan's history and culture, and then think about the inheritance and changes between traditional and modern society, and appreciate Taiwan's diverse culture and social value.
從臺灣的歷史發展歷程中環境與人群的互動來探究台灣文化的各個面向。包括台灣各族群的特有文化習俗、各族群之間的關係、家族與社會、地方的信仰習俗與歲時節慶、生命禮俗等。希望能夠透過課程講授及學生報告與討論的方式，不但認識台灣的歷史；也將各項常民文化的議題介紹給學生。讓學生能夠從課程中學到如何認識臺灣歷史文化的一些基本知識。期能培養探究台灣先民歷史文化的興趣、觀察解讀與批判現存各種社會文化現象的基本人文素養。
Explore various aspects of Taiwanese culture from the interaction between the environment and people during Taiwan's historical development. Including the unique cultural customs of various ethnic groups in Taiwan, the relationships between various ethnic groups, family and society, local beliefs and customs, annual festivals, life etiquette, etc. We hope that through course lectures and student reports and discussions, we can not only understand the history of Taiwan, but also introduce various common cultural issues to students. So that students can learn some basic knowledge about how to understand Taiwan's history and culture from the course. The students will be able to cultivate their interest in exploring the history and culture of Taiwan’s ancestors, as well as the basic humanistic qualities to observe, interpret and criticize various existing social and cultural phenomena.
