本課程主要以台灣歷史演進為經緯，探討各個歷史階段之文化特色，使學生能對台灣歷史文化有一宏觀且系統性的認識，進而思考傳統與現代社會間的傳承與變遷，欣賞台灣多元文化與社會的價值。This course mainly focuses on the evolution of Taiwan's history, explores the cultural characteristics of various historical stages, so that students can have a grand and systematic understanding of Taiwan's historical culture, and then think about the inheritance and transformation between tradition and modern society, and appreciate Taiwan's multicultural and cultural heritage and The value of society.
從臺灣的歷史發展歷程中環境與人群的互動來探究台灣文化的各個面向。包括台灣各族群的特有文化習俗、各族群之間的關係、家族與社會、地方的信仰習俗與歲時節慶、生命禮俗等。希望能夠透過課程講授及學生報告與討論的方式，不但認識台灣的歷史；也將各項常民文化的議題介紹給學生。讓學生能夠從課程中學到如何認識臺灣歷史文化的一些基本知識。期能培養探究台灣先民歷史文化的興趣、觀察解讀與批判現存各種社會文化現象的基本人文素養。
From the interaction between the environment and the crowd in Taiwan's historical development process, we explore the various aspects of Taiwan's culture. It includes the unique cultural customs of all ethnic groups in Taiwan, the relationship between various ethnic groups, family and society, local belief customs and age, life customs, etc. I hope to learn about Taiwan’s history through course teaching and student reports and discussions, but also introduce various issues of common people’s culture to students. Let students learn some basic knowledge about how to understand Taiwanese history and culture from the course. In order to cultivate the interest in exploring the historical culture of Taiwan’s ancestors, and observe and interpret and criticize the basic humanistic qualities that exist in various social and cultural phenomena.
