一、使學習者了解生命中的禮儀傳統與習俗典範:子曰:「生,事之以禮;死,葬之以禮、祭之以禮。」「禮儀」文化是人類生命在其展現歷程中,最為重要的意識反應,並且是人類精神文明的精華整合,透過學習、理解或研究「禮儀」及其相關活動,是了解該文化特色及其本質之重要關鍵。本課程設立之目的,在於使學習者能深入了解到,在我們生活周遭的種種禮儀活動中背後的「人文精神」;經由探討與分享,希望能傳遞華夏文化深厚的生命底蘊。
二、使學習者了解中華「禮樂」文化思想之主體:中華文化源遠流長,思想博大精深,在現實生活中有所多呈顯與實踐。這些文化與思想在實際的生活中,則形成獨特的社會風俗與生活習慣;特別是獨有的信仰與認同。總觀中華文化之三大思想,儒家以禮樂、人倫為重,道家以自然、宇宙為本,乃至漢代西來的佛學「空性」思維模式,都影響至深;而這些也是中華文化信仰力量與生活展現的核心之處。透過這些重要的思想主體探索,可以學習並了解中華文化其獨特的社會風俗與生活習慣之思維架構。
三、使學習者能探究台灣民間信仰與生活習俗之發生原因與其呈顯意義:切入課程核心,將以「台灣經驗」為發用,以台灣華人社會為關注對象,探究其獨特的民間信仰與生活習俗。台灣本具原住民南島語系族文化,又有後來的漢人移民開墾的歷史過程及其文化之注入,加上日本政權的統治經驗,以及第二次政治性的漢人移居等歷史條件與元素,實讓這塊土地呈現出多元且豐碩的文化;其中信仰與風俗,可謂承繼傳統、多元融合、蛻變出新、獨領特色,在華人社會裡具有相當重要的歷史定位與價值;故研究與學習這項文化課題,是了解並認同台灣最為直接與切要的方法及方向。
四、使學習者可以習得相關知識、釐清錯誤認知、開創多元生命,以達「人文生命教育」之目的:回歸到學習者本身,能經由修習本課程,了解更多台灣在地文化呈顯之背後的價值與意義,以達到東海通識教育中「生命教育」之目的與期望。
1. Let learners understand the etiquette traditions and customs models in life: Confucius said: "In life, things should be done with etiquette; in death, burials should be done with etiquette, and sacrifices should be done with etiquette." "Etiquette" culture is the unfolding process of human life. It is the most important conscious reaction and the essence of human spiritual civilization. The purpose of this course is to enable learners to deeply understand the "humanistic spirit" behind the various ritual activities around us; through discussion and sharing, we hope to convey the profound life heritage of Chinese culture.
2. To enable learners to understand the main body of Chinese cultural thought of "rituals and music": Chinese culture has a long history, and its thoughts are broad and profound, and have many manifestations and practices in real life. In actual life, these cultures and ideas form unique social customs and living habits; especially unique beliefs and identities. Looking at the three major ideas of Chinese culture, Confucianism focuses on rituals, music, and human relations, Taoism focuses on nature and the universe, and even the "emptiness" thinking model of Buddhism from the West in the Han Dynasty has a profound influence; and these are also the strength of Chinese cultural beliefs. and the core of life. Through the exploration of these important ideological subjects, we can learn and understand the unique social customs and thinking structure of Chinese culture and living habits.
3. Enable learners to explore the causes and significance of Taiwan’s folk beliefs and customs: to get to the core of the course, we will use “Taiwan experience” and focus on Taiwan’s Chinese society to explore its unique folk beliefs and customs. lifestyle customs. Taiwan has its own indigenous Austronesian culture, as well as the historical process of reclamation and cultural infusion by Han immigrants, coupled with the experience of the Japanese regime and the second political Han immigration and other historical conditions and elements. 4. Enable learners to acquire relevant knowledge, clarify misconceptions, and create diverse lives, in order to achieve the purpose of "humanistic life education": return to the learners themselves and learn more about Taiwan's local culture through taking this course The value and meaning behind it are to achieve the purpose and expectations of "life education" in Donghai general education.
