教育目標 Course Target

Course Objectives: The objective of this course is to explore the implications that the process of internationalization has for the activities and policies of human resource management by taking three approaches: cross-cultural management, comparative industrial relations, and particularly multinational enterprise management. Course Contents: This course focuses mainly on the process of discussion, and lectures will be delivered to illustrate business theory and show the application of such theory. This course is designed to provide students with the chance to discuss real-life business scenarios or fictitious accounts of a business situation or dilemma, hence a heavy weight of individual participation frequency. In addition, group project is undertaken to implement problem-solving skills. 課程概述 Course Description

根據聯合國2006年世界投資報告,全球約有77000家跨國公司及其十倍之多的分支機構,雇用6200萬名員工。 企業國際化的過程中,人力資源管理扮演重要角色。為了降低工資使生產成本更具競爭力,引進落後地區的外籍勞工 ;為了提昇管理或專業技能,企業重金禮聘,引進高層人力;為了管理海外的工廠或市場,企業派出經理人員。「人力」如同資金、原料、機械等其他的生產要素,可以穿越國界。
According to the United Nations' 2006 World Investment Report, there are approximately 77,000 multinational companies and ten times as many subsidiaries around the world, employing 62 million employees. In the process of enterprise internationalization, human resource management plays an important role. In order to lower wages and make production costs more competitive, foreign workers from backward areas are introduced ; In order to improve management or professional skills, companies spend heavily on recruitment and introduce high-level manpower; in order to manage overseas factories or markets, companies send managers. "Manpower", like capital, raw materials, machinery and other production factors, can cross national borders.
