教學主旨: 學習認識建築的基本元素是個重要的開始；面對建築在歷史中的種種變革與發展，還有建築上各種運用觀念的不斷改變，人們對於建築元素的認知也持續的蛻變中。尤其是技術的發明與空間概念的創新，更是帶動了許多革命性的建築風潮。而正當我們在面對這日新月異的時代時，全球所有建築師正企圖建立某種全新的建築領域，除了有必要引導同學介紹認識當代建築型態的多樣性之外，更必須加強從人對空間與場所的根本認知來開始了解建築的本質。

教學目標: 透過自建築的實例介紹與空間性解析，希望能幫助同學對建築的認知建立一完整的架構性基礎，並進而在學習建築設計之初對於建築元素的操作有較清楚的概念。

課程內容: 課程中將以建築空間的認知與各種建築元素的討論來分項，逐項介紹與討論一些實例並試圖分析解釋；其中建築實例的安排將大致以當代建築師來作分類介紹，希望藉此能同時帶領同學對於當代建築界有一初步認識。

Teaching Purpose: Learning to understand the basic elements of architecture is an important beginning; in the face of various changes and developments in architecture in history, as well as the continuous changes in various concepts of application in architecture, people's understanding of architectural elements is also constantly changing. In particular, the invention of technology and the innovation of space concepts have led to many revolutionary architectural trends. As we face this ever-changing era, architects all over the world are trying to establish a new field of architecture. In addition to guiding students to understand the diversity of contemporary architectural forms, it is also necessary to strengthen people's fundamental understanding of space and place to understand the essence of architecture.

Teaching objectives: Through the introduction of architectural examples and spatial analysis, we hope to help students establish a complete structural foundation for their understanding of architecture, and then have a clearer concept of the operation of architectural elements at the beginning of learning architectural design.

Course content: The course will be divided into sections on the cognition of architectural space and discussion of various architectural elements. Some examples will be introduced and discussed one by one and an attempt will be made to analyze and explain them. The architectural examples will be roughly classified and introduced by contemporary architects, hoping that this will lead students to have a preliminary understanding of the contemporary architectural world.
