西方教育社會學的學門化源自西方社會自身的文化傳統和發展脈絡,而近現代中國則以其面對世界局勢巨變的危機而有自身的教育問題。因此,我們對教育社會學的理解與研究就須關注文化現代化的發展脈絡,既要留意西方理論中的普遍性問題,也要理解自身發展的特殊性。這門課主要選讀中西方在現代化過程中的教育論述、文學以及調查研究報告,幫助同學們對現代教育變遷進行理解、反思與批判,進而以社會學的問題意識來討論台灣的教育議題。
課堂要求:
1.須於上課之前讀完指定閱讀材料。
2.不定時點名,缺課一次扣總成績5分。
The academicization of Western educational sociology stems from Western society's own cultural traditions and development context, while modern China has its own educational problems as it faces the crisis of dramatic changes in the world situation. Therefore, our understanding and research on the sociology of education must pay attention to the development context of cultural modernization. We must not only pay attention to the universal issues in Western theory, but also understand the particularities of our own development. This course mainly selects Chinese and Western educational discussions, literature, and survey research reports in the process of modernization to help students understand, reflect, and criticize the changes in modern education, and then discuss Taiwan's education issues with a sociological problem awareness.
Class requirements:
1. Must read the designated reading materials before class.
2. Roll call is not scheduled from time to time, and 5 points will be deducted from the total grade for each absence.
