本課程承繼大二的政治學研究法基礎,於開始對研究法作簡略的複習後,課程主要重點在針對統計學的基本原則和方法,以及統計學在社會科學的運用之教學,期使同學對統計在研究政治現象所扮演的角色有深入的瞭解。並配合統計軟體的介
紹與實作,使學生能夠獨立從事資料分析。第一學期中考前期,著重於社會科學的研究法重要觀念快速複習,期中考後以及第二學期著重於資料的分析和統計學實務的研討和實作。主要內容有(1) 社會科學研究法,研究的基本概念和研究設計; (2) 統計學在社會科學的運用與角色;(3) 統計分析的方法(使用MS EXCEL、SPSS、R)。最終目標使學生能夠獨立從事資料分析。This course inherits the foundation of political science research methods for sophomores. After a brief review of research methods, the course mainly focuses on teaching the basic principles and methods of statistics, as well as the application of statistics in social sciences, hoping to enable students to Have an in-depth understanding of the role that statistics plays in studying political phenomena. And cooperate with the introduction of statistical software
Introduction and practice enable students to independently engage in data analysis. In the first semester before the mid-term exam, the focus is on a quick review of important concepts in research methods in social sciences. After the mid-term exam and in the second semester, the focus is on data analysis and statistical practice research and practice. The main contents include (1) social science research methods, basic concepts and research design of research; (2) application and role of statistics in social sciences; (3) statistical analysis methods (using MS EXCEL, SPSS, R). The ultimate goal is to enable students to independently engage in data analysis.
本課程旨在訓練政治系同學在計量研究上的理論與實務,以便於未來無論在學術上或實務上瞭解社會、政治及經濟現象的本質,並能知道如何針對實際問題,提出研究計畫並實地從事蒐集資料,進一步分析得出結論。本課程主要分為四大部份:經驗研究的基礎;研究的設計與結構;資料的蒐集;資料的統計與分析。
This course aims to train students from the Department of Political Science in the theory and practice of quantitative research, so that they can understand the nature of social, political and economic phenomena both academically and practically in the future, and know how to propose research plans and propose research plans for practical problems.
