政治學方法論是政治學系重要的必修課，其內容涉及政治學研究途徑、研究設計等；因此，本課程不但是研讀政治學理論之基礎，同時，對於有志從事政治學研究、教學以及論文寫作的學生更具重要性。基此，本課程除了課程內容教授外，有必要透過實作的規劃，利用外加時段由教師指導同學研究方法之應用。
除了原課程時段，教師將利用外加的兩小時實作課程，首先，安排同學深入討論課程內容，即時針對課程問題給予回應；其次，則是交代論文寫作的作業，使學生能實際應用研究方法，並由教師在課堂給予指導；另外，本實作課程也將邀請專家學者前來演講，激發同學對研究方法的興趣。Political Science Methodology is an important required course in the Department of Political Science, and its content involves political science research approaches, research design, etc. Therefore, this course is not only the basis for studying political science theory, but also for those who are interested in political science research, teaching, and paper writing. students are more important.
