政治學方法論是政治學系重要的必修課，其內容涉及政治學研究途徑、研究設計等；因此，本課程不但是研讀政治學理論之基礎，同時，對於有志從事政治學研究、教學以及論文寫作的學生更具重要性。基此，本課程除了課程內容教授外，有必要透過實作的規劃，利用外加時段由教師指導同學研究方法之應用。
除了原課程時段，教師將利用外加的兩小時實作課程，首先，安排同學深入討論課程內容，即時針對課程問題給予回應；其次，則是交代論文寫作的作業，使學生能實際應用研究方法，並由教師在課堂給予指導；另外，本實作課程也將邀請專家學者前來演講，激發同學對研究方法的興趣。Political methodology is an important compulsory course in the political science department, and its content involves political research methods, research design, etc.; therefore, this course is not only the basis for studying political theory, but also for those who are interested in political research, teaching and writing. students are more important.
