民法不但是研習法律的基礎，更與一般民眾日常生活息息相關，對於就讀商學院的同學，民法基本概念的具備尤其重要，蓋任何商業活動均無法脫離民事法律關係而存在，懂得如何在為商業行為時，避免掉入法律陷阱，進而以法律保護自己的權益，至關重要。本課程希望透過實際例題，引領同學逐步認識了解民法中重要的規範與知識，俾利同學在將來的生活與職場上，面對各式各樣的民事法律關係時，懂得如何自保及主張應有之權利。我國民法包含５大範疇，包括總則、債篇、物權、親屬與繼承，故本課程亦將依此5大範疇進行介紹，其中總則階段，將介紹行為能力、動產與不動產、意思表示與瑕疵、代理、時效等重要觀念；債篇部分介紹侵權行為、不當得利、債務不履行、重要債篇各論契約(如買賣、租賃、保證等)；物權則介紹物權基本法則、所有權、抵押權與質權；親屬與繼承則分別介紹結婚、夫妻財產制、離婚、子女、繼承之發生、範圍及遺囑等。Civil law is not only the basis for studying law, but also closely related to the daily lives of ordinary people.
