工廠實習主要在於讓學生能了解實際機械加工時之情形及加工步驟，讓學生能有一個初步的機械加工概念，落實工程圖學基礎課程，以達到理論與實用技術並重之目標。The main purpose of factory internship is to allow students to understand the actual mechanical processing situation and processing steps, so that students can have a preliminary concept of mechanical processing and implement the basic courses of engineering graphics to achieve the goal of equal emphasis on theory and practical technology.
使學生藉由實際操作傳統的及數位控制的工具母機了解（1）各類工具母機的功能及限制，（2）切、削等製造程序，(3) 產品製程的基本認識。
To enable students to understand (1) the functions and limitations of various types of tool machines, (2) cutting, chipping and other manufacturing procedures, and (3) basic understanding of product manufacturing processes through actual operation of traditional and digitally controlled tool machines.
