一、課程目標:
1.了解文明與經濟強國發展背後的政治、社會、文化及歷史等因素,並對這些國家的歷史有進一步認識。(認知:包含基本知識、理解與分析能力)
2.具備多元宏觀思考能力解釋現象的發生。(技能)
3.避免僅從單一觀點解釋促成國家發展的因素。(行為)
4.透過紀錄片的閱聽,能讓學生對這些國家的歷史重新了解,彌補過去以文字背誦方式學習歷史所產生的疏離感,重新感受這些國家的歷史及特色。(情意)
5.從政治、社會、文化及歷史等多面向角度共同解釋一個國家為何能夠成為文明化的經濟強國,以他國為借鏡反省未來台灣發展的利基及困境。(後設認知結果)
二、課程內涵:
人類歷史上為何全世界只有一些國家能成為舉世皆知且具有顯著特色的文明及經濟大國?這些國家的文明及經濟發展背後必然有屬於該國的許多特殊因素所共同促成,因而相較於其他國家,能夠在全球佔有一席之地。本課程在課堂講演外亦配合影片的播放,帶領學生探討歐洲、亞洲、美洲之主要文明及經濟高度發展國家發展背後的因素,培養學生從宏觀多元避免僅從單一觀點面向解析這些國家為何能夠發展出形象鮮明的文明與經濟內涵,最終反省台灣的利基與困境。1. Course objectives:

3. Avoid explaining the factors that contribute to a country’s development from a single perspective. (behavior)
4. Through listening to documentaries, students can re-understand the history of these countries, make up for the alienation caused by learning history through text recitation in the past, and re-experience the history and characteristics of these countries. (affection)
5. Jointly explain why a country can become a civilized economic power from political, social, cultural and historical perspectives, and use other countries as a reference to reflect on Taiwan's future development niche and difficulties. (Metacognitive results)
2. Course content:
Why in human history have only some countries in the world become world-famous civilizations and economic powers with distinctive characteristics? Behind the civilization and economic development of these countries, there must be many special factors that belong to that country. Therefore, compared with other countries, they can occupy a place in the world. In addition to classroom lectures, this course also cooperates with the playing of videos to lead students to explore the factors behind the development of major civilizations and highly economically developed countries in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. It trains students to analyze why these countries can develop from a macro-diversified perspective and avoid only analyzing from a single perspective. It reveals vivid cultural and economic connotations, and finally reflects on Taiwan’s niche and dilemma.
