0422 - 環境倫理學概論 Introduction to Environmental Ethics


教育目標 Course Target

一、認識影響環境倫理的因素(經濟學、社會學、生態學); 二、培養個人對於環境的良好對認知(環境正義、資源利用); 三、關注環境相關的議題和時事,了解其發生的原因和不同立場的衝突; 四、肩負地球公民的責任,落實永續發展的理念。人類以人本精神或為生存、或為利益去駕馭自然世界,形成認為「人定勝天」的行為以凸顯人類的勝利,直到大自然反撲、天災頻遽,人類始意識到其破壞自然在先,造成浩劫在後之互為因果關係。人類是自然環境中最大的破壞者;近年來,氣候變遷、酸雨、臭氧層破壞等現象,都是因為人類沒有節制的經濟活動與工業發展,使得地球的環境遭受嚴重破壞,資源被過度消耗自然的自淨,能力失去作用所致。鑒於近來環保議題與個人和社會生活越趨息息相關,人類應培養環境倫理的公民素養之目標:「促進國民瞭解個人及社會與環境的相互依存關係,增進全民環境倫理與責任,進而維護環境生態平衡、尊重生命、促進社會正義,培養環境公民與環境學習社群,以達到永續發展」,為使學生對氣候變遷所造成的各種議題有所關注,並重新審視人類對於環境的態度,以及試圖發展自我面對環境劇烈變化的方式,規劃本課程。 本課程著重在讓學生探討如何適當關懷、重視,並且履行我們保護自然環境之責的理論與實務做法。環境倫理學是以倫理學探討環境問題的學問,屬於應用倫理學的其中一種,並且也是環境哲學的其中一項探討的領域,是對於環境問題從不同的立場來分析行為的學問。從以往單以人類為中心的倫理學延伸到包含自然環境的倫理哲學,其中探討領域常包含法律、社會學、宗教、經濟、生態、地理等。以環境為中心的道德倫理探討,環境倫理學的主要種類:永續發展(Sustainable development)、環境倫理學(Environmental ethics)、自然主義倫理學(Naturalistic ethics)、人本主義倫理學(Humanistic ethics)、生物中心主義(Biocentrism)、深層生態學(Deep ecology)、價值論環境倫理學(Axiological environmental ethics)、生物地域主義(Bioregionalism)、生態女性主義(Biofeminism)等。1. Pay attention to environmental-related issues and current affairs, and understand the causes of their occurrence and conflicts between different positions; 4. Human beings use their humanistic spirit to control the natural world, either for survival or profit, and form behaviors that believe that "man will conquer nature" to highlight human victory. Until nature strikes back and natural disasters occur frequently, human beings realize that they have destroyed nature first, causing The catastrophe is causally related to each other. Humans are the biggest destroyers of the natural environment; in recent years, phenomena such as climate change, acid rain, and ozone layer destruction are all caused by human beings' uncontrolled economic activities and industrial development, which have caused serious damage to the earth's environment and over-consumption of natural resources. Self-purification is caused by the loss of function. In view of recent environmental issues becoming more and more closely related to personal and social life, the goal of human beings to cultivate environmental ethics citizenship literacy is: "to promote national understanding of the interdependence between individuals, society and the environment, enhance national environmental ethics and responsibility, and thereby maintain environmental and ecological balance , respect life, promote social justice, and cultivate environmental citizens and environmental learning communities to achieve sustainable development." In order to make students pay attention to various issues caused by climate change and re-examine human attitudes towards the environment, and try to Develop your own way of facing drastic changes in the environment and plan this course. This course focuses on allowing students to explore the theory and practice of how to properly care for, value, and fulfill our responsibility to protect the natural environment. Environmental ethics is a discipline that uses ethics to explore environmental issues. It is a type of applied ethics and is also a field of environmental philosophy. It is a discipline that analyzes behavior on environmental issues from different standpoints. The ethics that were only centered on humans in the past have been extended to ethical philosophy that includes the natural environment. The areas of discussion often include law, sociology, religion, economics, ecology, geography, etc. Discussion of morality and ethics centered on the environment, the main types of environmental ethics: sustainable development, environmental ethics, naturalistic ethics, and humanistic ethics , Biocentrism, Deep ecology, Axiological environmental ethics, Bioregionalism, Biofeminism, etc.
