本課程以柏格森(Henri Bergson)的思想為主軸,探討創造力作為人類知識先驅的可能性。柏格森在《創造進化論》(Evolution créatrice)裡曾以人有變化符號的能力來說明其有別於其他生物的進化。柏格森指出,所有社會皆通過符號溝通而能建立,動物用符號建立社群,通過固定符號而維持千年不變且穩固的社會結構。人類既具有固定符號的本能,亦能改變符號,造就其進化發展。人類的變化能力發生在實際生活之中,通過與世界互動,使其系統進化。符號的進化亦通過言說改變人的思考結構,使之看見、想像他過去所未想見之事,並由此永不停歇地前往人類思想未曾抵達之處。
This course focuses on Henri Bergson's thoughts and explores the possibility of creativity as the leading driving force of human knowledge. In the Evolution créatrice, Bergson once used the ability of humans to change symbols to illustrate their evolution from other organisms. Bergson pointed out that all societies can be established through symbol communication, animals use symbols to build communities, and maintain a stable and stable social structure for thousands of years by fixing symbols. Humans have the instinct to fix symbols, but they can also change symbols to create their evolution and development. Human transformation abilities occur in real life, and through interaction with the world, their systems evolve. The evolution of symbols also changes the structure of people's thinking through words, so that they can see and imagine things they have never imagined in the past, and thus they will never stop to places where human thoughts have never reached.
