Humanitarian Outline: Introductory Reading

教育目標 Course Target

本課程聚焦《論語‧學而》,試圖從個體(人之作為個體存在)與群體(人之作為群體存在)這兩大面向,具體分析闡釋、並衡定〈學而〉在整部《論語》中所具有的人道總綱性之意義,同時對章句在道理論述上的整體脈絡連結進行細入閱讀分析與勾勒。事實上,〈學而〉作為《論語》論道之基(人道之基)的意義,以及對經典前後篇、章具有脈絡連結的承認與建構努力,早在歷代注解中就已存在,只未臻嚴謹與深入、故為時代所忽視而已。本課程故除了深入閱讀《論語》文本章句、對其可能具有的道理深度、脈絡細節進行逐字→逐句→逐章的分析推導之外,另外我們也將針對歷代具代表性權威注解的問題與缺失,進行閱讀檢視。從而逐步鍛鍊學生獨立面對經典的閱讀分析、批判能力。

This course focuses on "The Analects of Confucius - Xue Er" and attempts to analyze, interpret and weigh the overall humanistic significance of "Xue Er" in the entire "The Analects" from the two aspects of individuals (people exist as individuals) and groups (people exist as groups). In fact, the significance of "Xue Er" as the foundation of the discussion of Tao (the foundation of humanity) in The Analects, as well as the recognition and construction efforts of the contextual connection between the previous and later chapters of the classics, have already existed in the annotations of the past dynasties, but they have not been rigorous and in-depth, so they have been ignored by the times. Therefore, in this course, in addition to in-depth reading of chapters and sentences in the "Analects of Confucius" and analysis and derivation of its possible depth of truth and context details word by word → sentence by sentence → chapter by chapter, we will also conduct a reading review of the problems and deficiencies in the representative authoritative annotations of the past dynasties. In this way, students can gradually develop their ability to read, analyze and criticize classics independently.
