本課程上講述中國哲學史及從五經之學，先秦的諸子百家，直到漢代哲學為止，其中介紹各朝代各哲學家的思想。內容包括：(一)五經之學:以周易、詩、書為主。(二)先秦諸子百家：主要講述儒家、道家、墨家、法家、名家，儒家方面以孔孟荀為主，道家以老莊為主。(三)漢代哲學：此包括董仲舒、淮南子、揚雄、王充等人的思想。
下學期講述魏晉玄學到清代哲學為止。內容包括：(一)魏晉玄學：主要是道家玄理，主要人物有王弼、阮籍、嵇康、郭象、等人。(二)隋唐佛學：主要是中國佛學之天台、華嚴、禪宗。(三)宋明理學：主要是程朱理學、陸王心學和劉蕺山思想。(四)清代哲學：王船山、戴震等人的思想。
This course describes the history of Chinese philosophy and the hundreds of schools of thought from the Five Sessions to the pre-Qin Philosophy until the Han Dynasty, which introduces the thoughts of philosophers of each dynasty. Contents include: (1) Five studies: mainly based on the Book of Changes, poems and books. (2) A hundred schools of thought in the pre-Qin period: mainly talk about Confucianism, Taoism, Mohism, Legalism, and famous scholars. In terms of Confucianism, Confucius, Mencius and Xunzi are the main ones, while Taoism is the main ones. (III) Philosophy of the Han Dynasty: This includes the thoughts of Dong Zhongshu, Huainanzi, Yang Xiong, Wang Chong and others.
The next period of the school talks about the end of Wei Xuan's learning from the Qing Dynasty's philosophy. Contents include: (1) Wei Han Xuanxue: mainly Taoist mysterious theory, and the main characters include Wang Bi, Ruan Ji, Ji Kang, Guo Xiang, etc. (2) Buddhist studies in the Sui and Tang Dynasties: mainly the Tiantai, Huajian and the Master of Chinese Buddhism. (III) Song and Ming Philosophy: Mainly Cheng and Zhu Philosophy, Shu Wang Xin and Liu Qishan thought. (IV) Philosophy of the Qing Dynasty: the thoughts of Wang Chuanshan, Dai Zhen and others.
