この授業では、みなさんに以下の二つのことについてお話をし、考えてもらおうと思っています。

①社会の中でマスメディアが果たすべき基本的な役割と、実際にそれが果たされているのか、という問題。
②（①を前提にして）メディア上での差別の問題
・テレビ番組などで意識的・無意識的に表現されるマイノリティ・外国に対する差別。
・インターネット上で行われるヘイトスピーチについて。ヘイトスピーチとは何か？という確認をした上で、台湾や日本、欧米などの現状について調べます。　
・ヘイトスピーチ／差別表現への規制が「表現の自由」とどのように対立するのか、皆さんに考えてもらいます。
