This task-based course provides the opportunities for you to learn the skills of sight-translation step by step. Sight Translation is a hybrid of translation and interpreting and is commonly used in business correspondences, court hearings, and simultaneous interpreting in highly technical meetings. You will need to consolidate your existing language skills to better and faster comprehend texts from different genres and to orally translate the passage in the target language accurately, coherently and fluently. You will also have the opportunity to monitor and reflect on your progress and work closely to form better understanding of your strength and weakness of language skills.
