漢語詞彙學能幫助學生了解漢語構造與詞義演化，並有助於語文的教學，在應用方面則能學習辭典編輯學。
本課程首先將簡介詞彙和聲音關係，循序漸進介紹詞彙結構之五種基本結構；詞義方面則談同義詞、反義詞及義素分析法。歷史演變方面則簡介古今詞義的發展與演變；並及於社會發展和詞彙的新陳代謝。Chinese vocabulary can help students understand the structure and evolution of word meanings in Chinese, and contribute to the teaching of Chinese language. In terms of application, they can learn dictionary editing.
This course will first introduce the relationship between words and sounds, and gradually introduce the five basic structures of vocabulary structure. In terms of word meaning, it will talk about synonyms, antonyms and sememe analysis. In terms of historical evolution, it introduces the development and evolution of word meanings in ancient and modern times, as well as social development and vocabulary metabolism.
