一、課程簡介
性別研究是一門很深的學問。看似簡單、人人可談,但在簡單的性別議題背後,卻牽涉到深層社會結構的影響與個人的性別認同形成過程。作為學術知識的性別研究,其興起與社會運動、個人政治、生活經驗緊密相關。學術上的性別研究具有跨學科對話的特色,深化、挑戰與豐富了傳統男性為主導的社會學理論與觀點。早期女性主義者對於父權社會結構的反省,如今已經演變為更多元、複雜的問題化,例如,性別、種族與文化差異、異性戀機制、同志/酷兒運動、科技與醫療、性別與消費文化等。我們可以發現,性別問題無所不在:家庭/私領域中每個家庭的性別空間配置、婆媳與妯娌衝突、外籍新娘、到女性與國家、哲學、性騷擾或者是女性工作職場單身條款與性別、減肥、廣告與女體、色情刊物與情色等等,都是性別研究的範疇。
從日常生活與活用的知識來看,研讀性別理論可以使兩性都瞭解到自己所成長的環境對自身思考的影響。在固定化的性別規範與觀念下,有許多我們視為理所當然的想法,其實相當的束縛兩性的身體與心靈。因此,本課程旨在鬆動許多傳統與固定化、本質主義的性別規範,深刻推動兩性權力的平等意識。結合理論與經驗,並且使經驗豐富理論,理論強化反省,是掌握性別研究非常重要的精神。
性別研究開始於挑戰女性與弱勢族群被邊緣化的生命經驗與歷史。因此,本課程第一部份將簡介性別研究理論的概要與進入女性主義運動的讀物討論。第二波女性運動以降累積了豐富的研究內容,包括:後殖民女性主義、第三世界女性主義理論、社會主義女性主義、基進女性主義以及酷兒理論與STS的科技與勞動理論等。本課程將以女性家務勞動、技術與階級議題為主,並加入STS女性研究的觀點。因此,文本中包括勞動技術的女性主義理論家,如Cynthia Cockburn與Cowan等人的著作,探討女工與女性家務勞動的技術問題。

1. Course introduction
Gender research is a very deep learning question. It seems simple and everyone can talk about, but behind the simple gender issues, it involves the process of forming a deep social structure and the formation of personal gender identity. As a gender study of academic knowledge, its excitement is closely related to social movement, personal politics, and life experience. Academic gender research has the characteristics of interdisciplinary dialogue, deepening, challenging and enriching social theory and views led by traditional men. The reflections of early female theorists on the social structure of patriarchs have now evolved into more diverse and complex problems, such as gender, ethnic and cultural differences, sexual disorders, gay/cool movement, technology and medicine, gender and consumer culture, etc. We can find that gender problems are all invisible: the configuration of gender space in each family in the family/private domain, conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, foreign brides, to women and countries, philosophy, sexual agitation, or female workplace terms and gender, fattening, advertising and women, pornography, and eroticism, etc., are all in the scope of gender research.
Judging from daily life and practical knowledge, studying gender aphorism can enable both sexes to understand the impact of the environment they grow on their own thinking. Under the fixed gender rules and concepts, there are many thoughts that we take for granted, which actually restricts the body and mind of the two genders. Therefore, this course aims to smooth out many traditional and fixed, essential gender rules and profoundly promote the equal awareness of the two gender powers. Constructing reasonable discussions and experiences, and making experience rich in theory and strengthening reflection on theory is a very important spirit to master gender research.
Gender research begins with challenging the life experience and history of women and weak groups that are swayed. Therefore, the first part of this course will introduce a summary of gender research theory and a discussion on readings entering feminist sports. The second wave of female sports has accumulated rich research content, including postcolonial feminism, third world feminism theory, socialist feminism, basic feminism, and cool theory and STS technology and labor theory. This course will focus on female homework, technology and level issues, and will join the STS Women's Research. Therefore, the text includes the work of feminist theorists of labor technology, such as the works of Cynthia Cockburn and Cowan, etc., to explore the technical problems of female workers and female homework.
