本課程目標，是藉由後社會主義(post-socialism)的視角，來分析中國大陸自改革開放至今，有關地方政府結構與政治的變遷，並分析在中國農村推動基層民主試驗，所產生效應。一方面是介紹中國大陸在經歷改革開放之後，對其採取基層民主的試驗之影響，另一方面亦要介紹基層民主對於中國地方政府的職能轉換與地方經濟政策選擇的影響，進行深入淺出的說明，同時亦透過上述分析，來檢視中國大陸的民主化問題。The goal of this course is to analyze the changes in local government structure and politics in mainland China since the reform and opening up from the perspective of post-socialism, and to analyze the effects of promoting grassroots democratic experiments in rural China. On the one hand, it introduces the impact of mainland China's experiment with grassroots democracy after undergoing reform and opening up. On the other hand, it also introduces the impact of grassroots democracy on the functional transformation of Chinese local governments and local economic policy choices, giving an in-depth and simple explanation. At the same time, we will also examine the issue of democratization in mainland China through the above analysis.
