Operational Finance is a one-semester course. The goal of this course is to provide students with a solid understanding of the important concepts of modern corporate finance, and to familiarize students with the analytical and quantitative tools to make financial decisions, which in turn maximizes the value of the stock. Specifically, the learning objectives are that students should be able to: (1) perform financial statement analysis, (2) make bond and stock valuations, (3) evaluate capital budgeting projects, (4) calculate the cost of capital, (5) understand the tools of corporate financing, and (6) explain capital structure concepts.Operational Finance is a one-semester course. The academic background of non-business management students is mostly limited to science, engineering, agricultural and medical departments and general basic management. It is likely that high-level management is insufficient in the context of increasing investment risks and diversified financial commodities. This course is designed for medical professionals to improve their understanding of corporate financial analysis and management and financial markets, so that students can make clear decisions for personal financial investment, corporate financial planning and management.
