大一語文基礎課程(包含中、英文)統稱為「語文與溝通」課程,此門課,以中/英文教師就共同課綱設計教材,在中英文的教學下,彼此形成相互支援的系統,此一課程設計,除了加強中/英文語文能力之外,學生還可就東西文化背景的差異進行思索與學習。First-year basic Chinese courses (including Chinese and English) are collectively called "Language and Communication" courses. In this course, Chinese and English teachers design teaching materials based on a common curriculum. Under the teaching of Chinese and English, they form a mutually supportive system. This course design not only enhances Chinese/English language skills, but also allows students to think and learn about the differences between Eastern and Western cultural backgrounds.
