注意：開學前無論預選有沒有上，有興趣的同學都歡迎開學第一週先來聽課，老師將會講解選課方式，最終修課名單由有參與第一週公布的選課方式的同學來決定。
1. 訓練學生如何深度聆聽音樂，了解其中的音樂元素以及如何運用不同音樂元素所發展出的多樣音樂風格，並討論音樂背後所傳達的藝術思想及社會意義。
2. 討論政治事件或是戰爭如何影響音樂創作以及聆聽經驗， 音樂又如何成為政治服務的工具，抑或是成為革命的武器，甚至成為改變社會的力量。
3. 深入分析音樂如何反映當代人群的集體記憶，音樂創作者又是如何回應當代人們的情感需求。
4. 討論音樂載體的變遷，以及音樂作為商品時，音樂人的角色以及功能如何轉換，聽眾的聆聽經驗又是如何改變，音樂產業何去何從。
5. 鼓勵學生以音樂為對象，來觀察思索人類行為背後的意義，思考人類社會如何變遷、價值觀如何演化，以及音樂作為藝術的價值。
本課程上課方式將會由授課老師帶領學生以工作坊的方式討論來進行。本課程將會分成課堂講授跨文化的音樂現象與台灣音樂專題討論兩大部分。跨文化的音樂現象將由授課老師講授並引導學生聆聽音樂、進行討論，針對現代音樂思潮的開端、音樂與政治、以及音樂與族群融合等等課題做跨文化、跨樂種的深入討論。專題討論則由學生以分組報告、討論的方式，針對台灣的音樂現象進行深入的討論， 台灣音樂專題可探討的題目包括：台灣的民歌運動、偶像歌手如何讓人們瘋狂追星、李宗盛與其塑造女歌手們、台語歌的永恆主題與美學、客語歌的人文關懷與土地情感、站上流行音樂舞台的原住民歌手、原住民傳統音樂的復興與新生、台客搖滾、周杰倫的影響、台灣的獨立音樂等。

Note: Regardless of whether you have pre-selected before the start of the semester, interested students are welcome to come to attend the class in the first week of the semester. The teacher will explain the course selection method. The final course list will be determined by the students who participated in the course selection method announced in the first week.
1. Train students how to listen to music deeply, understand the musical elements and how to use different musical elements to develop various musical styles, and discuss the artistic ideas and social significance behind the music.
2. Discuss how political events or wars affect music creation and listening experience, and how music can become a tool for political service, a weapon for revolution, or even a force for changing society.
3. In-depth analysis of how music reflects the collective memory of contemporary people, and how music creators respond to the emotional needs of contemporary people.
4. Discuss the changes in music carriers, and how the roles and functions of musicians have changed when music is used as a commodity, how the listening experience of listeners has changed, and where the music industry will go from here.
5. Encourage students to use music as an object to observe and think about the meaning behind human behavior, how human society changes, how values evolve, and the value of music as an art.
This course will be taught in a workshop format with teachers leading students. This course will be divided into two parts: a classroom lecture on cross-cultural music phenomena and a special discussion on Taiwanese music. Cross-cultural music phenomena will be taught by teachers who will guide students to listen to music and conduct discussions. They will conduct in-depth discussions on cross-cultural and cross-music types on topics such as the beginning of modern music trends, music and politics, and the integration of music and ethnic groups. Thematic discussions involve students conducting in-depth discussions on Taiwan’s music phenomenon in the form of group reports and discussions. Topics that can be discussed in Taiwanese music topics include: Taiwan’s folk song movement, how idol singers make people crazy about stars, Li Zongsheng and his shaping of female singers They, the eternal themes and aesthetics of Taiwanese songs, the humanistic care and land sentiment of Hakka songs, aboriginal singers on the pop music stage, the revival and rebirth of aboriginal traditional music, Taiwanese rock, the influence of Jay Chou, Taiwan's Independent music etc.
