本課程乃專為喜愛戲劇藝術、具備英文基礎能力、性好思考、探索的學生量身訂造，內容貫串莎翁生平、語言風格、悲劇作品、十四行詩，以及劇場演出等單元，設計上利用「議題導向」的討論方式，引領學生看見莎劇中的人生面向，並以中、英文(中文為主，英文為輔)進行導覽，期使與課學生能在趣味和深度兼顧的情況下，原汁原味地品嚼莎翁文字、意像之美，從而深入淺出地領受莎翁作品的精髓，培養欣賞莎劇之能力，同時強化本身的英語造詣及人生觀照。期望經本課程練習後，一方面引導學生針對莎翁作品內蘊進行賞析，另方面鼓勵學生以莎劇為本，運用一己之想像力與創作力，探索舞台與人生之間的連結。

This course is specially designed for students who love dramatic art, have basic English skills, and are good at thinking and exploring. The content runs through units such as Shakespeare's life, language style, tragic works, sonnets, and theater performances. The design uses an "issue-oriented" discussion method to guide students to see the aspects of life in Shakespeare's plays. The tour is conducted in Chinese and English (Chinese as the main language, English as the supplement), with the hope that students taking the class can taste the beauty of Shakespeare's words and images with both interest and depth in mind, so as to understand the essence of Shakespeare's works in a simple and easy-to-understand way, cultivate the ability to appreciate Shakespeare's plays, and at the same time strengthen their English attainments and life perspectives. It is hoped that after practicing in this course, on the one hand, students will be guided to appreciate the connotation of Shakespeare's works, and on the other hand, students will be encouraged to use Shakespeare's plays as the basis, use their imagination and creativity to explore the connection between the stage and life.
