教育目標 Course Target

華族的國際遷移活動,實為其國內遷移活動的延伸,這種現象在歷史上存在已久,直至19世紀中葉以後,因應跨國勞動力的需求,大批華工出洋,華族移民的蹤跡乃遍及世界各地,海外華族社會也次第形成,提供主流社會無法提供的生存發展的機會與空間。本課程主要探討近代以來華族海外移民社會的形成與發展,也將就海外華族與原鄉母國之間政、經、社方面的緊密關係與文化上的延續,輔以居留地之政經社會的變遷,探討海外華族與居留地社會在不同時空中的互動模式,期能透過本課程之學習,使本校學生能對華族海外移民如何能在移居地落地生根卻仍保有華族文化傳統的特質,有進一步的瞭解,同時也能增進析辨思維與組織整合能力,能欣賞與尊重多元文化差異,能尊重生命與關懷人類整體價值,並具備國際視野能力。The international migration activities of the Chinese are actually an extension of their domestic migration activities. This phenomenon has existed for a long time in history. Until the middle of the 19th century, in response to the demand for transnational labor, a large number of Chinese workers went abroad. Traces of Chinese immigrants can be found all over the world. Overseas Chinese societies have also been gradually formed, providing opportunities and space for survival and development that mainstream society cannot provide. This course mainly discusses the formation and development of overseas Chinese immigrant societies in modern times. It will also discuss the close political, economic and social relations and cultural continuation between overseas Chinese and their home country, supplemented by the political, economic and social aspects of the place of residence. Through the changes of the overseas Chinese and the society of the place of residence in different time and space, we hope that through the study of this course, our students will be able to understand how overseas Chinese immigrants can take root in the places of settlement while still retaining the characteristics of Chinese cultural traditions. With a further understanding, it can also enhance analytical thinking and organizational integration abilities, appreciate and respect multicultural differences, respect life and care for the overall value of human beings, and have the ability to have an international perspective.
