教育目標 Course Target

The first part of this course will be a six sections’ course introducing the wind energy development and its technical bases. It will cover the most updated status review of global wind energy development and the review of basic design processes for both onshore and offshore wind turbines/wind farms. Contents of this six section’s course will comprise of five sections’ lectures in the classroom and one section of field visit to a wind turbine site and/or a wind energy research institute. The course is prepared for students with basic engineering and/or energy economy background and also for students with interests in green energy, to gain quick insights of the important role of wind energy and its associated technical bases. Students will also be inspired by the tutor giving a pop quiz in the classroom to have chances to communicate with other students and to present their findings from the course.
