SketchUp是一套操作方便、指令簡而易懂的3D建模軟體。景觀實務上廣泛應用在產生、檢視與修改3D概念；該項工具具備簡單且強大的的功能特性，讓3D繪圖作業進行地更加有效率。授課內容主要訓練景觀系學生運用此套軟體，將2D圖面轉換為3D數位模型，使學生能夠將景觀設計的構想，透過3D模型呈現出更周到及全面性之設計。
本課程探索數位媒材在造型設計創作、三維自由曲面及其它景觀裝置藝術等應用、表現與技巧原則，以3D模型軟體 (Rhinoceros和Lumion或3ds max)為訓練核心，自入門操作、簡易造型、進階造型等，並涵蓋Computer Aided Design（電腦輔助設計）、Parametric Generation （參數生成）、Digital Fabrication（數位製造）等重要當代數位資訊概念。
課程重點包括對數位工具的整體性了解，掌握數位思考（Computational Thinking)與類比思考模式的概念差異，訓練數位工具技術，廣泛涉獵當代數位建模相關發展，進一步加強學生對數位造型與表現的深入認識。
SketchUp is a set of 3D modeling software that is easy to operate and has simple and easy-to-understand instructions. It is widely used in landscape practice to generate, review and modify 3D concepts; this tool has simple and powerful features to make 3D drawing operations more efficient.
