課程目標：透過課程安排，除了認識西方媒材的多樣化、完成課堂的主題創作、分享及討論，也透過展覽與藝術家介紹，引導創作的獨立思考和執行能力，並發現自己的創作關懷。解析媒材與其與不同語彙的運用；課堂上將藉由展覽與不同階段的重要藝術家及其作品，來分析其表現手法與內涵，鼓勵學生從這些藝術家所對照的藝術思潮來探討媒材轉化的創作與技法。
課程內涵：本課程的內容旨在培養具有多元跨域視野的現當代藝術相關領域人才︒Course objectives: Through the course arrangement, in addition to understanding the diversity of Western media and completing the theme creation, sharing and discussion of the class, through exhibitions and artist introductions, students can also guide their independent thinking and execution skills in creation, and discover their own creative care. 本課程欲以自然、人文與藝術的跨域角度，探討數位科技時代下的新媒體藝術。以台灣新媒體藝術發展為主，國際新媒體藝術現況為輔，課程著重探討新媒體藝術中多元創作的型態與相關藝術家作品分析。幫助學生拓展對於新媒體藝術史與藝術創作的視野。
This course aims to explore new media art in the digital technology era from a cross-disciplinary perspective of nature, humanities and art.
