台灣地區人口結構已呈現逐漸老化的趨勢，因此無論是從社會工作或社會福利服務的領域，皆應對此一現象所產生的社會和個人後果予以關切。本課程主要將講授與老人社會工作有關之各個主題，包括老化現象、理論架構、福利政策與措施方案、實務工作等。學生能夠藉由修課、閱讀相關資料、作業演練等過程，學習與老人福利服務及社會工作有關之知識和技能。

The population structure in Taiwan has shown a trend of gradually aging, so whether it is from the field of social work or social welfare services, the social and personal consequences arising from this phenomenon should be concerned. This course will mainly teach various topics related to the social work of the elderly, including aging phenomena, theoretical structures, welfare policies and measures, practical work, etc. Students can learn knowledge and skills related to elderly welfare services and social work through courses such as courses, reading related information, and working performance.

This course is designed to prepare undergraduate students to familiar with the context and process of aging, and become competent in dealing with and assisting older persons through service practice-health care-social work professional dimensions. That is, to enable students to engage issues, problems and needs resolution of elders by applying relevant professional expertise and strategy in compliance with social welfare policies and social service programs.
