本課程為政治學系國際關係組基礎課程，其目的在培養學生對國際關係的歷史發展，建立全面的認識，並透過史學的觀點，理解國際關係此一學科的重要分析方式。相較於過往區隔成西洋外交與中國外交兩個區塊，近年來外交史課程的發展逐漸打破國別的藩籬，以更宏觀的角度來理解全球範圍之世界政治脈動，這也是本課程的企圖達到的目標，以期能讓修習者建立更寬廣之國際視野。本課程為一學年課程，上學期主要集中探討19世紀歐洲國際關係發展，並旁及與中國相關的東亞國際關係脈動，下學期則探討廿世紀國際關係發展的重要歷程。This course is a basic course for the International Relations Group of the Department of Political Science. Its purpose is to cultivate students' comprehensive understanding of the historical development of international relations, and to understand the important analytical methods of international relations from a historical perspective. Compared with the past, which was divided into two areas: Western diplomacy and Chinese diplomacy, the development of diplomatic history courses in recent years has gradually broken down the barriers of countries and understood the pulse of world politics on a global scale from a more macro perspective. This is also the purpose of this course. The goal we attempt to achieve is to enable practitioners to establish a broader international perspective. This course is a one-year course. The first semester mainly focuses on the development of European international relations in the 19th century, with a side view of the pulse of East Asian international relations related to China. The second semester will explore the important process of the development of international relations in the 20th century.
