本課程是第一個機率統計數理基礎課程，內容包括機率概念、隨機變數、機率分配、與期望值。本課程最主要在訓練學生把連加與積分方法，運用在計算單一或多個隨機變數時的機率和期望值的計算，並從這個過程中具體瞭解機率的本質。主要一般大學程度上機率論上的訓練及使用成未來在統計相關課程及應用上所需要的基礎。會從一般的古典機率概念出發 建立現代隨機變數及分配觀念及基礎為核心，能學習隨機變數上重要性質如動差及相關，初步認識ㄧ些對未來會有需要的近似理論。

This course is the first chance statistical mathematical basic course, including the concept of chance, random variables, chance allocation, and expected values. This course mainly trains students in the calculation of the probability and expected value of one or more random variables in a single, and understand the nature of the probability from this process. Mainly, training and use of probability theory to a general college degree will become the basis required in the future in terms of statistical related courses and applications.
