Social Contract Theory : Rousseau and Hobbes
教育目標 Course Target
社會契約論是現代民主政治背後重要的理論基礎。現代國家與權力背後的基礎即是建立在社會契約論之上。然而，現代社會契約的起源並不全然是為了個人權利的保障而出現。本課程試圖透過霍布斯與盧梭社會契約理論的介紹與比較，帶領修課同學掌握社會契約的幾種理論，並反思現代政治與此有關的問題。
Social contractual arguments are an important theoretical basis behind modern democratic politics. The foundation behind modern states and power is based on social contracts. However, the origin of modern social contracts does not appear entirely for the protection of personal rights. Through the introduction and comparison of the social contract theory of Hobbes and Lusso, this course trial guides students to master several theoretical discussions of social contracts and reflects on the problems related to modern politics.
