教育目標 Course Target

本課程以哲學思辨、影像與電影為主,探索三者間的跨域連結的關係。亞里斯多德確立了影像(image)與事物(chose)的關係,指出影像是事物的模仿。上帝用自己的形象造人,人由是成為神的仿造品。瑪格麗特一系列「影像背叛」的作品敲醒了這個世界,使人重新思考影像與事物的關係。布希亞進一步以「超真實」省思影像,布朗肖則看見影像與屍體的曖昧關係。二十一世紀逐漸由文字轉向影像的世代,那麼,我們必然要追問,在這個充斥微電影、直播、迷因的時代裡,影像究竟是什麼?本課程希冀藉由影像分析能力的建立,使學生具備人文、藝術和倫理的涵養與鑑賞能力,關懷自身處境與自我理解。此外,通過影像議題的反思開啟多元創造性思考及獨立重構思想的能力,培育與國際並駕齊驅的全球性視野。

This course focuses on philosophical speculation, images and films, exploring the cross-domain connections between the three. Aristotle established the relationship between images and things, stating that images are imitations of things. God created man in his own image, so man became a copy of God. Margaret's series of "image betrayal" works have awakened the world and made people rethink the relationship between images and things. Buschia further reflected on images through "hyper-reality", while Blanchot saw the ambiguous relationship between images and corpses. The 21st century is gradually turning from words to images. So, we must ask, in this era full of micro-movies, live broadcasts, and memes, what exactly are images? This course hopes to equip students with the ability to cultivate and appreciate humanities, art and ethics, and to care for their own situation and self-understanding through the establishment of image analysis abilities. In addition, through reflection on image issues, the ability to think diversely and creatively and independently reconstruct thoughts will be opened up, and a global vision that keeps pace with the world will be cultivated.
