0224 - 中國現代史 Contemporary Chinese History


教育目標 Course Target

讓學生對於中國現代史有更多的認識與理解,可說是具有高度的現實意義;不僅僅是身處此一世代的人們去日未遠;近代國家如民主、科學、進化、道德、民族、國民各種概念、制度、社會組織、物質技術、文化風尚均肇基於此時。可見到直接的影響仍斧鑿於當世,對於要「實現中華民族偉大復興」的「中國夢」。這種不斷持續追求「富強」與企圖擺脫民族衰敗命運的論述,實源於清末。不察知近代中國政治與社會發展的軌跡,自不能掌握這一套思路何以形成。 近代中國複雜的歷史情境與發展,費正清( John K. Fairbank 1907-1991)將鴉片戰爭後西方衝擊與回應的解釋,已顯單向和不足。中國各地不同區域的地理環境與經濟條件,雖有共同的文化傳統,在面臨新局時也有不同的因應。南港學派的中國現代化的區域研究,恰恰反向的點出這種論點的局限。在現今這個宏大敘事崩解的時代,又隨著兩岸局勢丕變,台灣政治意識型態的轉移,乃至於歷史學研究方向的更迭,近年來中國近現代史的政治色彩逐漸淡化,轉移到社會史、文化史、城市史、性別史等各個領域。再者,南京二檔館《館藏民國檔案》或上海《申報》……林林總總各種存世史料的龐大量體與多面向的性質,使得中國近現代史觸及的範圍,仍在不斷的擴充。受限於教學日程,本課程將規劃專題,除了對時序重大歷史事件做基本勾勒外,還將著重在這些事件背後的結構分析,譬如探討鴉片貿易與世界經濟、晚清以來各種新政所推行的如查戶口、釘門牌,打亂了地方原有的政治秩序、反教話語中涉及的空間與身體觀念……等。其次將從各種概念入手,引導學生進行思辨與討論,如革命、民族、衛生、國民、自由戀愛、世界觀的產生、現代性等共同探究近代中國形塑的過程。以及對國兩黨的發展歷史問題進行剖析,有助學生連結現今。 This allows students to have more understanding and understanding of China's modern history, which can be said to have a high degree of practical meaning; not only are people living in this generation who have not yet gone far away; modern countries such as democracy, science, evolution, morality, nationality, and people have all originated from this time. It can be seen that the direct impact is still agitated in the present world, for the "Chinese dream" that wants to "realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation." This kind of argument that continues to pursue "richness and strength" and attempts to destroy national decline and defeat fate actually originated in the late Qing Dynasty. If you don’t understand the trajectory of modern Chinese political and social development, you will not be able to grasp how this set of ideas is formed. The complex historical situation and development of modern China, and the explanation of the Western impact and response after the duck film war by Fei Zhengqing (John K. Fairbank 1907-1991) has shown a single and insufficient direction. Although the geographical environment and economic conditions in different regions of China have common cultural traditions, there are also different reasons when facing a new situation. The regional study of China's modernization of the Nangang School is exactly the opposite point of view. In this era of grand events disintegrating, with the rapid changes in the cross-strait situation, the shift of Taiwan's political consciousness patterns, and even the changes in the direction of historical research, in recent years, the political color of modern history in China has gradually faded, and has moved to various fields such as social history, cultural history, urban history, and gender history. Furthermore, the "Republican Archives" of Nanjing Second Archives or the "Sheng News" of Shanghai... General Lin Lin's large number of various surviving historical materials and multi-faceted characteristics have made the scope of China's recent modern history still expand continuously. Due to the teaching schedule, this course will plan topics. In addition to basic outlining major historical events in the chronological process, it will also focus on the structural analysis behind these events, such as exploring the trade of duck and world economy, various new policies since the late Qing Dynasty, such as checking the account and door cards, which have fought against the original local political order, the space involved in anti-teaching and physical concepts... etc. Secondly, we will start from various concepts and guide students to think and discuss, such as revolution, nation, sanitation, people, freedom and love, the generation of worldview, and modernity to jointly explore the process of shaping modern China. And analyze the historical problems of the development of the two parties, which will help students connect to the present.
