美國自中葉以來, 為捍衛他的生活方式和世界秩序, 不斷介入世界戰爭. 其中以越戰和對回教恐怖主義的戰爭規模至大, 影響最為深遠.
本課程著重分析美國工商業發展及其改革弊端的努力以及在國內外情勢的衝擊之下, 如何因應世局變遷, 維護其民主體制.

In the mid-19th century, the United States ended its civil war, completed its reunification, and made more progress in democratic politics. At the same time, it not only transformed from an agricultural country into an industrial country, but also jumped onto the world stage from a geographically American country. In the 20th century, the United States entered World War I and World War II. Its world leadership was at its peak, and it began to implement its world order.
Since the middle of the century, the United States has continuously intervened in world wars to defend its way of life and world order. Among them, the Vietnam War and the war against Islamic terrorism were the largest in scale and had the most far-reaching impact.
This course focuses on analyzing the development of U.S. industry and commerce and its efforts to reform shortcomings, as well as how to respond to changes in the world and maintain its democratic system under the impact of domestic and foreign situations.
